Testimony of a brother who went to International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones 2014

This month I had the privilege of attending a gathering of over 900 hundred brothers in Christ from all over the World in Toronto Canada.  There were a series of messages given on “The Vision,  Practice, and Building up of the Church as the Body of Christ”.

I particularly appreciated that we need to arrive at the oneness of the faith.  According to Ephesians 4:3 we already have the oneness of the Spirit when we believe into the Son and we’re born again in spirit (John 3:6).  Initially the oneness of the Spirit is so enjoyable and truly a reality we can experience with all the believers, but if we remain at this initial stage, it will become the oneness in vanity.  We must continue the journey and arrive at the oneness of the faith in practicality as seen in Ephesians 4:13.  “The faith” in verse 13 refers not to our act of believing but to the things in which we believe,  such as the divine person of Christ and His redemptive work accomplished for our salvation.   Secondly, the oneness in practicality is also the oneness of the full knowledge of the Son of God.   The full knowledge of the Son of God is the apprehension of the revelation concerning the Son of God for our experience.

May we all continue our journey to arrive at the oneness of the faith in practicality!
